TAERN Privacy Policy


We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We select and apply with due care technologies and take measures to ensure the proper control and protection of processing of our users' information in compliance with applicable laws.


All information stored on our Web site or in the Taern game are provided by you voluntarily, including the information submitted at the time of registration in order to use our web-based services, and such information is not deemed to be personal information in the meaning of the Personal Data Protection Act of 27 August 1997 (Dz. U. - Journal of Laws, 2002 no. 101, item 926, as amended).


To participate in the Pride of Taern, online game, offered by Taern, it is enough to provide us with:

  • the User's e-mail address (Login) and
  • unique password.

The player's personally-identifiable information, such as name, surname, telephone numbers, tax reference number (Polish: NIP), PESEL (identification number used in Poland), addresses, etc., are neither collected nor stored in the Game.


The User's information submitted during the process of registration may be used for marketing purposes, including our newsletter and advertising our services. You may opt-out of receiving such information at any time by activating the appropriate link located in the e-mails we may send you.


When present on our Web site and/or forum, or entering the game, our system automatically gathers information, such as:

  • your IP address together with registration and log in date/time;
  • cookie files;
  • local Flash data and
  • statistical information, e.g. browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, date/time stamp, duration and frequency of the site usage.

The above information is not directly linked to personally identifiable information and does not identify any individual, but is used to compile aggregate statistics.


Our Service uses Google Analytics - a web analytics tool offering detailed traffic statistics, and provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics privacy policy can be found at the URL: http://www.google.com/intl/pl/analytics/privacyoverview.html .


IP addresses and related time data are kept in our database for security reasons and to ensure the system integrity. In some cases we use the User's IP address and related time data to prevent account takeover fraud. The authorisation for the use of IP addresses is stipulated in The Pride of Taern Rules of Use.


Third parties, that are intermediaries in the process of payment for services offered on the Taern web site, may ask the User to provide personal information, such as name and surname, mailing address, tax reference number and bank account number. Your personal information submitted at the time of payment for services rendered by Taern and/or the Taern Game are collected by e-payment provider Dotpay S.A. At times we may require the User to supply the basic personal information only and exclusively if:

  • the User explicitly requests a bill or an invoice to be issued; this type of information is processed to the extent permitted by applicable law;
  • the Player wins a contest or the Service Provider organizes a promotion, which necessitates formalities required by law and the shipping of the prize to the submitted address; refusal to provide personal information or providing false information will result in losing the right to the prize.

In justified cases we may access your personal information that has been shared with external providers of e-payments (e.g. Dotpay S.A.) in order to inquire into a complaint about service payments.

The Users' personal information is strictly confidential and can be accessed solely by the Web site administrator or the Taern game administrator. From time to time, however, we may disclose personal information without the User's consent if requested by authorised government bodies, e.g. at enforceable request of the prosecutor's office or administration of justice, in a form and to the extent permitted by law.


You have the right to access information held about you at any time, to request updating and/or deleting the information, and you have the right of objection, as provided by respective laws. The User's information is deleted at his/her request. Please note that the information will not be deleted where an obligation to retain it is imposed by applicable laws, or where such information is required for service billing purposes.
